Many thanks to Nina and Darren for their hospitality. This video was shot in March 2015. No humpack whales (they come in the winter) but, surprisingly, false killer whales.

Tonga is isolated in the Pacific ocean on the Tonga trench, the second deepest in the world. The clear water and amazing sub-marine landscapes resulting from this location make for some special dive experiences either on scuba or breath hold. I was lucky enough to experience this in August 2017.
Quick edit - more to come.
www.offtrailtravel.com. Located off the coast of the island of Eua, in the South Pacific kingdom of Tonga, Cathedral Cave is an amazing dive. Unlike most caves, this one is huge; a wide-open structure with openings in the ceiling that allow brilliant shafts of light to penetrate into the cavern. My first time with dive video, and didn't have the camera light positioned quite right to avoid some backscatter reflection. Still, the video gives you a pretty good idea what it's like to be inside this magnificent place. Video taken with a GoPro Hero 3+ with a Sidekick dive light.
